Design
The Process
Landservices takes our clients’ needs seriously. Our long term relationships with customers improve property values. We do this (where desired) by working with our clients to help them see and implement functional correction and improvement. This is done using a Landscape Design Process: a Six-Stage action which systematically take a “landscape design-team” approach to create a long term master plan. This is the “road-map” to follow for installing phases of a project, or the total landscape design. Though this is our best recommendation, more simple alternatives may be desired. Landservices, Inc. does consulting and project management based on client budget and need.
1. First Meeting - Data Gathering
After listening and observing personality style, site features, and constraints, information is recorded. This helps us match property characteristics to your specific wants and needs.
2. Base Sheet Development & Site Analysis
The site is observed and sketched onto an existing scaled site plan of the house and property lines. This becomes the Base Sheet, which is created using a copy of the site plan to “graphically” inventory other existing features.
3. Preliminary Design
The data collected in phase one and two provide the ability to compose a scaled-preliminary sketch design of the total proposed concept for your review, step three is not intended for construction.
4. Preliminary Landscape Design Meeting
This next visit is a “key” meeting with our client: it reviews, and needs honest critique of the preliminary concept. Two blueprints are provided.
5. Final Landscape Design
A construction-ready document is produced here, providing necessary detail for implementing the work to come (or phases of the work, if desired).
6. Final Design Meeting: The Final Product
Time is spent here to review the specifics, including plant names, descriptions of materials, etc.
